US - embarrassed at simplicity of "Kremlin List" - claims there is a "secret" part to it

    February 1 , 2017 - Fort Russ News -

The US Treasury has explained that the Russian side "misinterpreted" the "Kremlin list" published yesterday.

A representative, Tony Sayeg, said that the list was collated from public sources (for example, the Russian edition of Forbes, on the basis of which the list of "oligarchs" was compiled) only for the unclassified part, while its "secret" part contains information from secret sources.

The Treasury said that secret data will be used to widen sanctions against Russia.

Experts confirm that the "secret" part contains information on the defendants of Russian President Vladimir Putin, their corruption, the magnitude of the state's sources of profits, including for members of their families.

It is important to understand that the list itself can be said to be a simple copy of "the Kremlin phone directory", which has been widely ridiculed as a dud job (done in a rush, and very basic in its nature) but still they claim the "secret" part contains "important information." Russian officials have even gone so far as to say that it was done by an intern, because it's so basic - a blatant copy of the Russian Presidential website, the English version, and the roles mentioned therein. They didn't even bother to change the terminology to the US equivalents.

The classified section is said to contain information about Russia's quasi-state structures, their management, beneficiaries, economic ties  to other countries and activities abroad.

We wonder - when will the US do an internal list like this of their own, to pinpoint those who truly harm them?
