The Kursk region has received the newest Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system.

Colonel Igor Kuznetsov, Chief of the Air Defense Forces of the Army, said that in the near future anti-aircraft gunners will undergo a three-month training  programme at the training center for military air defense in Orenburg.

The multifunctional anti-aircraft missile system Buk-M3 is designed to detect and destroy all types of aircraft, destroy all surface targets as well as employ electronic counter-measures. The Ministry of Defense commented that it has no analogues in the world.
