Supporters of the former president of Georgia and the former governor of the Odessa region, Mikhail Saakashvili, have stormed the building of the October Palace in Kiev. Having broken the front door and overcoming the national guard, activists penetrated inside the building.

Mikheil Saakashvili, who now leads the 'Movement of New Forces' encouraged people to peacefully hold a rally without clashes. "Do not give in to provocation!" he yelled.

According to the latest reports, Saakashvili's followers then left the October Palace and went to Independence Square . According to law enforcers, a concert is taking place inside Some protesters remained in the Palace, throwing plastic bottles at law enforcers as well as firecrackers.

It is reported that a jazz concert was taking place in the October Palace at the time. Judging from the empty chairs, some spectators left the hall.

The head of the National Police of Ukraine, Sergey Knyazev, called on Saakashvili's supporters not to commit provocations.

On the website of the police of Kiev it is reported that law enforcement officers will, within the limits of their powers, stop any illegal actions.
