LOOK as Kurdish forces awkwardly celebrate Christmas in a Raqqa without Christians or civilians

December 28, 2017 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

RAQQA, Syria - Awkward photos have emerged of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) celebrating Christmas in the former ISIS capital of Raqqa in northern Syria.

The SDF captured Raqqa from ISIS in October after the terrorist organization freely and peacefully left the city as the SDF looked on as can be seen in this video

Since the capture of Raqqa after the devastating battle where US-led airstrikes continually struck important infrastructure and civilian targets leading to innumerable civilian deaths, locals have not returned to the city and remains a virtual ghost town.

The city is especially devoid of its Christian minority, making the Christmas celebrations in the city all the more awkward.
