Russian Defense Ministry's photo slip-up yesterday of alleged ISIS-US cooperation is "no big deal"

November 15, 2017 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

MOSCOW, Russia - Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that the mistake made yesterday by the Defense Ministry on publishing false photos of ISIS-US cooperation in Syria is "not big deal".

"Mistakes do happen and they’re no big deal, if they are corrected in a timely manner," Peskov said.

Within hours of the publication of satellite photos of supposed ISIS-US cooperation, which were taken from a video game and an airstrike in Iraq's Fallujah, the Ministry of Defense deleted the photo and began an investigation into the individual responsible.

"I would not blow its [the recent mistake’s] significance out of proportion," the Kremlin aide said.
