The Sean Spicer Show finale - Press Sec resigns

    July 23, 2017 - Fort Russ News -

White House Communications Director Sean Spicer has resigned, so as not to interfere with the work of the new employees responsible for contacts with the press. Financier Anthony Scaramucci has been appointed as the new Director - perhaps, his relationship with journalists will be met a little more warmly.

The Sean Spicer show - as the media termed his daily briefings - is over after 6 months of service. “Too many chefs spoil the broth!” Spicer said on resignation – deciding to give Anthony Scaramucci and Sarah Sanders, the Deputy White House Press Sec, a clean slate to work from. It is known that Donald Trump had asked Spicer to stay - as unsurprisingly, the television ratings for his press briefings were quite high. Since May, Spicer has combined the work of the Presidential Press Secretary with the post of Director of Communications. Of course, we can’t let him leave without a re-run of the best Spicer Show Bloopers - here’s a short trip down memory lane:

The new appointee, Scaramucci has in the past been accused of having links with Russia by the CNN network, in their habitual manner. CNN then had to retract the story because of – quote – “not meeting CNN editorial standards”. Three CNN staff quit over the ordeal.

The CNN editor’s note on the retracted article also included an apology. Scaramucci accepted the apology and said that CNN had done the right thing. Sounds like his relationship with them may be off to a reasonable start.
