Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to avenge the blood of the innocent people who lost their lives in two terror attacks that devastated Tehran on Wednesday morning, at around 10:30 am, local time.

In a statement, issued by IRGC, it was indicated that Saudi Arabia could be behind the attacks, due to its connections to terrorist groups.

It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump held a phone conversation with the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz merely few hours before both attacks took place.

The two reportedly discussed “security matters”.

Meanwhile, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir said there is no evidence that Saudi-born terrorists were responsible for attacks in Tehran, adding his country condemns terrorism wherever it occurs.

Al Jubeir said he did not know who was behind the attacks.

On Wednesday morning, terrorists attacked Iranian parliament building and the shrine of Imam Khomeini.

According to security officials, 4 terrorists, disguised as women, tried to enter the Iranian Islamic Shura Council building through the visitor’s gate in to the House of Representatives, claiming they came to visit some deputies.

When one of the guards tried to check their identity, they shot him immediately and opened fire on people that came in their way.

The terrorists tried to break into the main administrative council building, but were intercepted by security forces who, upon confronting them, forced them to move to the upper floors of the administrative building of the Council and opened fire on the staff there, killing some of them.

Finally, the IRGC special forces arrived and eliminated three terrorists during clashes, while another terrorist blew himself up prior to that.

About a dozen of people, perpetrators including, were killed in a foiled Shura Council attack, while some 30 were left injured.

In a separate, but coordinated attack, terrorists tried to storm Imam Khomeini shrine.

One person, a janitor, was killed and five other people were left injured.

A suicide bomber reportedly blew himself up, but caused no casualties.

Another terrorist, a female, was captured alive by security forces.

ISIS claimed responsibility for both attacks.
