Times we laughed at the US State Department, chapter four, featuring Sean Spicer. Updated with newest clarification!

    April 11, 2017 - Fort Russ News -

Compiled, with comment, by Tom Winter. In previous chapters, we have had a whole cast of characters, but Sean Spicer has, with his daily efforts, finally built up to a one-man show...

    Use of 'Alternative Facts' backfires!

    Go ahead. Play the video!

    Before:
Oh my. Presser in four minutes. My Mission: Use a tarbrush on Assad.

    After:
Oops I got some on myself! And it will never come off! Maybe a few more clarifications...

    First it was this:
“You had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons...

And the timing: the first day of Passover.

"Hitler didn't even sink to the level of using chemical weapons”

And then the clarification, implying German Jews were not his own people:

"I think when you come to sarin gas, there was no … he was not using the gas on his own people in the same way that Assad is doing.

And then further clarification, featuring Holocaust Centers:

There was not … he brought them into the Holocaust Centers, I understand that. But what I’m saying is the way that Assad used them, where he went into towns, dropped them, the use of it — I appreciate the clarification ... was not the intent.

April 12 update with Spicer's newest clarification:
But searching shows he has taken it down. It appears you can get to the facebook post...
But when you follow the link, you get:
    Sorry!
    End, 4/12/17 update

    A brief comment:
Even Spicer's lies about inauguration attendance had to be explained by Kellyanne Conway as "Alternative facts." Though the US MSM will call out the administration when it doesn't matter, they are treating the "Poisoning his own people" shibboleth as a fact. Now that alternative facts are used as the excuse for international vigilantism it is getting tragically serious.

Many ordinary people can get it, though, with this simple catechism:

    You're Assad.
Will killing a hundred civilians help your cause or hurt it?

I gain nothing, and have hell to pay.

    You're a headchopper:
Will killing a hundred civilians help your cause or hurt it?
Not hurt it -- we do that everyday and they don't care. And help our cause? Of course! Pin it on Assad, and HE will have hell to pay.
