Syrian forces continue their anti-ISIS offensive all over the country.
The most important achievement of the day occurred in the southern countryside of Palmyra where Army units, in cooperation with the allies, carried out special operations against ISIS targets, which, in addition to the several terrorists being killed and their equipment destroyed, also resulted in regaining control over Sabkhat Al Mooh power plant project. A car bearing a Saudi license plate and several vehicles equipped with heavy machine-guns, were also destroyed. The Army units are currently dismantling the IEDs and landmines that were previously left over by ISIS terrorists.
In the province of Deir Ez Zour, The Army units were involved in heavy overnight clashes with ISIS terrorists when the latter were trying to force their way into Liwaa Al Tamin and the Deir Ez Zour Airport area. Most of the terrorists were killed and few managed to escape. The Army’s artillery units continued their operations in the graveyard areas, the surroundings of the Deir Ez Zour Electricity Company, Al Maqabat area and Al Jafra village, located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.
Operations also continued in Daraa where the Syrian forces are currently involved in heavy clashes with Al Nusra Front terrorists. Multiple strikes were carried out against the terrorists in Daraa Al Balad area of Daraa city. The military sources confirmed the destruction of 3 vehicles, headquarters and two artillery positions. Scores of terrorists were also killed, most of them nearby Al Masri roundabout, Al Karak and Al Abassiye neighbourhood, the post office building and Anmd Al Sad road.
One person was killed and six others were injured in a terrorist blast that occurred in Darra city earlier on Monday.
