According to an Israel report, the Lebanese movement Hezbollah has allegedly developed a sophisticated naval infrastructure that is said to be operating in shadows.
The report which was recently published on the Israeli web portal Walla claims that Hezbollah has become so advanced in the last few years that it can practically target anything within Israel, including the Israeli Navy installations in the Mediterranean Sea, after (allegedly) developing advanced radar systems and missiles. The report also expressed fears that Hezbollah could be targeting Israeli cargo ships (which are responsible for transferring 90% of all imported products to Israel) and offshore platforms. Tel Aviv is said to be aware of the claimed capabilities of Hezbollah and even prepared for the potential attack.
The report further stated that “Since the times of the Lebanese Civil War, Hezbollah has constantly been hiding information on its military capabilities, especially as regards the navy area, with no exact and reliable information available anywhere. No details are available on its involvement in the Syrian war either.”
Aside from the occasional statements and letters from the Hezbollah’s officials, not much is known as regards the movement’s exact military capabilities, leaving Israel in a state of dilemma, which often results in making own theories and conclusions such as this particular report. Hezbollah does not comment on any media reports, detailing its military capabilities and did not comment on this particular one either.
