BELGRADE - In the framework of military-technical assistance, Russia give Serbia six MiG-29 fighters and dozens of armored vehicles, said the head of government of the republic, Alexander Vucic, after a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

"If we buy these aircraft at market prices, we would need to find more than 600 million euros", - quotes Vucic through the government press service.

The Serbian Prime Minister said that the agreement should be signed by the 23rd of December.

The parties are currently discussing two options for transferring military equipment. In the first case, the vehicles will be immediately delivered to Serbia, where it later will be held for upgrades. In the second, they are to remain in Russia and will be transferred to Serbia after the upgrades.

"We also received a gift of 30 T-72S tanks and 30 BRDM-2 with armament 14.5 mm (armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicle with a heavy machine gun KPVT - Ed.)", - Said Vucic.
