    Basurin Sitrep: Tense situation in Donetsk as UAF breaks ceasefire

    Over the past 24 hours, the UAF has shelled the frontline territories of the DPR 126 times. This was reported today at a briefing at the DAN press center by the deputy commander of the DPR operational command, Eduard Basurin.

    “The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense. Over just the past day, Ukrainian security forces violated the ceasefire 126 times, including by using weapons banned by the Minsk Agreements,” Basurin said.

    According to the command’s information, three tank shells and 22 mortars of 120 and 82 mm calibre were fired by the enemy at Yasinovataya and the village of Spartak. The UAF fired 31 mortars of 82 mm at the village of Veseloe in Northern Donetsk as well as the airport district.

    The village of Trudovskie west of Donetsk was shelled three times with 82 mm mortars. Gorlovka, Zaytsevo, Yasinovataya, the village of Viktorovka south of the capital, and the Novoazovsky district of Sakhanka village also came under UAF fire. 


    Earlier today, a source in the DPR’s security ministry reported that the night before the UAF shelled the industrial zone near Yasinovataya and the western outskirts of Donetsk.
