Ukrainian journalist: EU unofficially banned visas for "ATO" veterans

The European Union has imposed an unofficial ban on issuing visas to “ATO heroes,” reports the Ukrainian journalist Vyacheslav Pikhovshek with references to his own sources. According to Pikhovshek, Europeans are seriously concerned about demobilized UAF fighters and other security forces of Kiev given their questionably psychological sanity.

“Sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, two Ukrainian embassies in Europe, and three EU countries’ embassies in Ukraine, one of which is one of the former Soviet Baltic states, have confirmed that more than a month ago they received the order NOT to issue visas of any kind to demobilized ATO participants,” Pikhovshek is quoted as saying by “PolitNavigator.”

“The explanation: their behavior represents a danger to the public. These sources are reliable,” the journalist asserted.

In May, the EU decided to suspend the process of removing visa requirements for Ukrainians. The foreign ministers of the largest EU states, France and Germany, stood in favor of such a move.
