"The Ukrainian heroine Nadezhda Savchenko, who today shines brightly at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), gave an interview to DW correspondent Zhanna Nemtsova, in which she said many interesting things: about presidential ambitions, the anti-Russian sanctions, and relations with Tymoshenko.

In the beginning of the interview, Savchenko ambitiously stated that she doesn't see any shortcomings in herself as a politician, as it isn't a long time that she has been engaged in this matter, and also explained that she chose the party of Yulia Tymoshenko after several proposals, because the party wasn't liked by those who took her captive.

During the interview, the MP admitted that "until now she did not know who Groysman was," and said that the current government of Ukraine is like a "Titanic", not able to govern the country and is also "unworthy of the people they rule".

Savchenko also commented on her strong statement on the willingness to communicate with the leaders of the DPR and the LPR, once again confirming that they in any case have something to talk about, as the parties that were fighting against one another, and also because, anyway, "we are the one nation and we are obliged to live together."

Savchenko for sure is disappointed her Ukrainian fans by stating that anti-Russian sanctions should gradually be lifted in response "to Russia's fulfilment of something." The MP stands at the same time for personal sanctions, "Man will not understand until he is hurt. The sanctions should be more personal. In order for the people who do it, to get what they deserve," said the former inmate.

She didn't omit to state claims about her political ambitions. So, the question of whether she will become President, Nadezhda answered in the affirmative.

"I will! If people will say: "needed!", soldiers answer: "I'm there! I have any fear, concerns, and problems, but no desire too. If people will ask, I will do," said Savchenko.

About what, in her opinion, is the probability of her election as President of Ukraine, Savchenko modestly remarked that it is 100%.

"If today, it is 100%, if tomorrow, it is 100%, we will see, as it is said in our Odessa," said the MP.
