The participants for the recognition of fighters of volunteer battalions came in well-organized groups, which were gathered with the direct participation of the Balta Regional State Administration.
This was stated by the Deputy of the Odessa regional council Vadim Shkarovsky, commenting on the actions of the activists, which forced the council to make a decision on the recognition of "volunteers" in Eastern Ukraine from the Odessa region.
"Now I'm called and told that these people, who today were here in the audience, were loaded onto the buses near the main entrance of the Balta RSA. They used school buses from the program through which we buy them. I asked to verify this information and to take appropriate action because this is unacceptable. What is it? Does it mean that bodies of state power start to organize some activities against us and use buses, which are normally used to drive kids to school, and not to the meetings?" outraged Shkarovsky.
Timer also confirmed this information via sources in the leadership of the regional council. According to them, the action was attended not only by residents of Balta, but also citizens of the Khmelnitsky region. By the way, Oles Vitryaniy was originally the Khmelnitsky region's Deputy of the regional council, and until recently headed the Balta RSA, upon the recommendation of Mikhail Saakashvili. During the session, Vitryaniy was the main voice of the interests of "volunteers".
As a reminder, on June 17th, a few dozen people in camouflage rushed into the building of the Odessa regional Council and forced the deputies to support the draft decision on the recognition of the fighters of volunteer battalions in Eastern Ukraine in the Odessa region.
[O.R: The key message to take from this article is that the participants of the rally came from outside Odessa, akin to the way participants of Maidan and the House of Trade Unions massacre were also brought from outside the region, especially from Western Ukraine.]
