Reconnaissance conducted by the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic discovered the location of Turkish mercenaries, fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, near the contact line in Donbass, said Andrei Marochko, the official representative of the LPR militia, at a briefing.

According to him, about 20 mercenaries with small arms were seen in a private house on the Eastern edge of the settlement of Bolotene.

He added the placement of sabotage units in the areas of Bolotenogo and Sizogo was also noted. LPR reconnaissance has repeatedly captured the presence of foreign mercenaries near the contact line, including from Georgia, Poland, US, Norway, Denmark, and other countries.

Kiev's military operation against the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR, which declared their independence after the coup, has lasted for two years. According to the United Nations, the number of victims to the conflict are more than 9,000 people. The settlement of the situation in Donbass is being discussed, including during meetings in Minsk, however, there were skirmishes following the armistice agreement between the parties to the conflict.
