    30th March, 2016

The grouping of the Russian space forces in Syria over the past 24 hours have attacked ISIS in the area of the settlement Al-Qaryatayn and in areas adjacent to Tadmor (Palmyra, Homs governorate). This was stated in the information summary of the Russian Center for Reconciliation.

"At night, the Russian space forces conducted 23 sorties, striking 54 objects of the Islamic State, during which the following were destroyed: four command centres, six artillery guns and mortars, three warehouses with ammunition, two fuel depots, 18 vehicles with weapons, one anti-aircraft gun, and more than 60 militants".

The ceasefire was broken just six times

According to the Center for Reconciliation, the cessation of hostilities in Syria was generally observed throughout the day, with only six violations being recorded, five of which were in the province of Aleppo and one in Latakia.

"Militants who claim allegiance to the opposition group "Ahrar al-sham" used MLRS from the area of Sakan Al-Shababi on Sheikh Maqsood in Aleppo city," the document says. "In the province of Aleppo, units from the group "Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki", after preparing artillery, attempted to attack the positions of government troops in the village of Basufan".

At the same time, the militant group "Ahrar al-sham" fired tanks and mortars at the positions of government troops in areas of the settlements 'Hara, Maraanaz, and al-Maliki  (province of Aleppo).

In the province of Latakia, militants of the same group fired small arms and mortars at the positions of governmental troops in the area of the settlement Karamanli.

The Russian and Syrian Airforce announced the cessation of hostilities on opposition armed groups, and information was reported to the Russian or American centers of reconciliation so that airstrikes are not conducted on their location, noted the message from the center.

"Representatives of the center undertook consultations on the issues of cessation of hostilities and humanitarian assistance with the administration of the provinces of Hama and Aleppo. They reached a preliminary agreement on reconciliation with the representatives of two localities of the provinces of Hama and Homs," stated the message. The total number of settlements where the leaders have reached agreements on reconciliation is 51. The number of armed groups that have declared their commitment to the implementation and acceptance of the terms of cessation of hostilities, remains unchanged - 43".

Over the past month, after the ceasefire, 897 nomination documents were received from individual fighters who decided to lay down their arms and return to civilian life.

"All parties to the conflict in Syria confirm a significant reduction in the intensity of the fighting. So, if in the beginning of March the average number of registered violations during the cease of hostilities was 12-15 cases per day, by the end of the month their number decreased to 5-7", - stated the message of the Russian center.

    The delivery of humanitarian assistance

The Russian military have taken more than 4 tons of humanitarian cargo to the Syrian province of Aleppo over the past day.

"During the day, the Russian Centre for reconciliation delivered 4.4 tons of humanitarian cargo to the province of Aleppo for further distribution to residents that are most affected from the fighting in the settlements," the document stated.
