Trucks with Russian license plates have been blocked at the checkpoint at "Vystupovichi" on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Zhytomyr region, the Unian news agency reported on Saturday.
"About 20 activists this morning began blocking Russian trucks at the entrance to the territory of the international border checkpoint at "Vystupovichi" in the Zhytomyr region", — stated the message.
According to the agency, a group of people who were represented by members of the "Euromaidan Movement Zhytomyr" and "Self-Defence", partially blocked the pass of commercial vehicles with numberplates of the Russian Federation. It is reported that they blocked the movement of 10 trucks.
Earlier nationalists in the Transcarpathian region blocked the passage of trucks with Russian numberplates, which were sent through Ukraine to Europe through the security checkpoint "New Gate". According to the Chairman of the Transcarpathian region, Gennady Moskal, the action of blocking Russian trucks led to a conflict between the nationalists on one side and transporters from Transcarpathia. Transporters engaged in the delivery of goods from EU countries, including Russia, issued a complaint against the nationalists, which, in their opinion, may provoke a similar reaction to their trucks on the Ukrainian-Russian border.
