Thanks to the subsidy system, some Ukrainians have the opportunity to pay less for utilities than they were paying a year ago. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said this during his Sunday TV presentation on January 10th.
"Once again I want to address the fact that it is necessary to hand out subsidies. Few believed that the government will really help everyone who will need this assistance. The truth is the following: 5.4 million Ukrainian families not only asked for subsidies, they received subsidies," – said the Prime Minister.
According to Yatsenyuk, if a Ukrainian has not received subsidies for his family, he still knows about the system of their provision from their relatives, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, etc.
"Some families this year are paying even less than they paid last year, as they asked for subsidies. All the fears that were present six months ago about the fact that subsidies cannot be issued, or that this mechanism will not work... turned out to be political lies", – concluded the head of government.
As a reminder, earlier Yatsenyuk declared that the subsidy is the only way to justice.
