    Russia Advances to the Final, Beats America in Junior Hockey Championship Semifinal

    Russian junior hockey team beat the US and reached the final of the world championship.

    The game in Helsinki ended with the score 2:1 in favor of the Russians.

    Pavel Kraskovsky and Egor Gorshkov scored for the Russian team. Christian Dvorak scored for team USA.

    The MVP's of the Russian team at the Junior World Hockey Championship became Ivan Provorov, Pavel Kraskovsky and Vladislav Kamenev. 

    Earlier the Russians defeated the teams from Denmark, Belarus, Finland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

    In the finals the Russian national team will meet the hosts of the tournament - the Finns, who today defeated the Swedes with the same score — 2:1.

    The final will begin on January 5th, at 21:30 Moscow time. On the same day Swedes and Americans will compete for the bronze. The game for third place will start at 17:00 Moscow time.
