Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada created a scandal when they left the Ukraine-EU forum in Poland, because they were not satisfied with the composition of the participants. As was told to journalists by the Vice-speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, in combination and the head of delegation Oksana Syroid, European MPs at the round table meeting were invited with an openly pro-Russian stance, which, as Syroid believes, is more of a provocation.
Among those distinguished guests who did not want to see parliamentarians from Kiev on the forum in Europe, was the Polish MEP Janusz Korwin-Mikke, who last year visited Crimea and Ukraine persona non grata.
"Our parliamentarians have left the event as they were known provocateurs, in particular, the persona non grata in Ukraine Korwin-Mikke. If I didn't leave today because this is the end of my visit, I also would have left the forum in protest", said Oksana Syroid to the agency "UKRINFORM". "I think it's a pointless meeting, because we all know Russia's position, but how it can help in the dialogue between Ukraine and Europe? If she can't help in this dialogue, why call them here: to become destructive and turn it into a farce?
As a reminder, the Ukrainian delegation staged a diplomatic demarche at the meeting of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Istanbul in connection with the beginning of Russia's presidency in this organization, and earlier Ukrainian politicians took umbrage at the organizers forum in Davos. According to the newspaper "Vesti", firstly, Kiev had substantially reduced the composition of the delegation, as the organizing Committee of the forum has reduced the quota for Independent representatives. Later, in Davos, they had not established the subject of the Ukrainian lunch, but the delegates wanted to once again discuss Donbass.
