    SBU holds "terrorist hunt" in occupied Avdeevka

    In Avdeevka, a city of the DPR occupied by Ukraine, the SBU is carrying out special operations for purging “potential terrorists.” This has been reported by a number of Ukrainian media outlets.

    The fact that the SBU is holding a special operation was confirmed to the UNN agency by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region. 

    “The SBU is carrying out an operation there (in Avdeevka),” a source in the agency reported. 

    Meanwhile, Donbass News reports with reference to social network users that soldiers are carrying out a so-called “sweep” in Avdeevka.

    Residents report that soldiers are checking houses and census documents, explaining their actions by the threat of a terrorist attack. Punitive battalions are selectively detaining men and taking them to an unknown place. 

    Earlier, it was stated that a sweep of “terrorists” in the occupied punitive structures of the so-called “Donetsk region” is to be held in all residential areas under the control of Ukraine on the contact line.
