"The DPR is planning to supply coal to Europe and the Middle East"
The DPR is busy with searching for new markets for coal. This was stated by the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko.
He reported that the DPR is not going to focus only on Ukraine as its only “partner” for coal purchases, and spoke of large-scale plans of the republic to enter European and Middle Eastern markets.
“The Ministry of Coal and Energy is searching for new, additional markets. Of course, we should not not get hung up on one partner - Ukraine. Especially not Ukraine. Therefore, we are working on the questions of Europe and the Middle East,” Zakharchenko noted.
On this note, he commented that the resumption of coal deliveries to Ukraine has replenished the budget.
“Mines should work and extract. If we can sell coal to Ukraine, then why not? The main thing is that they pay us money for this coal. This is the main task,” the head of the republic explained.
