According to a LifeNews source in law enforcement, Daesh has executed five more Russians from the North Caucasus, after killing Magomed Khasiyev. According to preliminary information, they paid with their lives for jeopardising the security of the extremist organization, being suspected of espionage. The identities of the victims of the executioners are not yet confirmed.

Later, a video of the execution was analysed by experts. According to the doctor-psychiatrist Sergei Nurislamova, there was no direct evidence that the man was under the influence of drugs, but it is likely that he was sedated.
