Despite yesterday’s statements on the prohibition of firing on the front line which was voiced by Ukrainian media, punitive forces are continuing to shell the outskirts of Donetsk.

As DAN and the Ministry of Defense of the DPR reported, yesterday evening at 21:00 the UAF bombarded Kievsky district and damaged a residential home.

“Yesterday evening at 21:00, Ukrainian security forces opened fire on the Kievsky district of Donetsk. As a result, a piercing shell hit and damaged a residential home,” the military said.

The Information Agency Novorossia’s sources added that around the same time a thick fire fight was resumed in Spartak district. The UAF shelled the positions of Donbass defenders with automatic grenade launchers.

The Ukrainian military did not calm down by morning. The head of the Yasinovataya city administration, Yurii Ynenko, stated that the UAF opened mortar fire on the surroundings of the Donetsk-North railway station in the Yasinovataya district of the DPR. As a result, a residential home was burned down.

“Around 6:00 in the morning, the outskirts of Yasinovataya near the Donetsk-North station were shelled with mortars. A hit on a private home was recorded and employees of the Ministry for Emergency Situations arrived at the scene, and the fire was extinguished,” Yanenko reported.
